According to a study published in 2014, people with a healthy red wine habit have a great potential to delay cognitive decline with ageing. It followed over 7000 men and women with a mean age of 56 over a decade, and tracked attention, learning and memory.
People who drink wine, it seems, also ate healthier food, were better educated, exercised more and had a healthier body weight. Red wine is thus part of an overall healthier lifestyle. As always, moderation is the key – one glass per day for women, two for men.
