Robertson is one of South Africa’s premier wine producing areas, with almost 49 million vines planted, which accounts for about 14.25% of SA’s total. Did you know that one hectare of land houses between 3 000 and 6 000 vines, or sometimes up to 10 000?

The three cultivars that are planted the most here is Chardonnay, Colombar and Chenin Blanc for white, and Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Ruby Cabernet for red. The Robertson Wine Valley was formed in 1983 and represents 48 wineries from Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson.
