The whole world is thrown midst into soccer madness with the FIFA Soccer World Cup underway. Like South Africa, host nation Brazil is using this incredible marketing opportunity to market every possible industry they have – including their fairly young wine industry.
There is an official World Cup wine, made by Lidio Carraro boutique winery, named Faces.
What makes this wine different is that it is a blend of 11 different red wines, each representing a different player in a soccer team and each fulfilling a different role. Winemaker Monika got this idea while watching a soccer game with her father.
